Ombré Lace Collection

I have always had a fondness for making things and if it involves some reuse of materials then that’s great news. That’s especially true in our current climate, with many of us are doing our bit to help sustain the planet.

I have been using King Cole yarn in my makes for some time now. Their yarn is of high quality and is available in many different colours and options. So, when I found out about their bin-end yarns, which use balling waste, I was intrigued to hear more. It is the yarn waste that King Cole suppliers produce at the end of the production run when making the yarn and would have been thrown away. I requested a sample and began making a few knitted and crocheted swatch pieces.

I fell in love with the yarn I was sent and it has inspired me to create the Ombré Lace Collection. I rarely knit with thinner than DK weighted yarn and this one is 3ply, definitely thinner that I am used to. It’s just so wonderful though, and is very robust, despite its delicate appearance. Though perhaps my favourite feature is the wonderful change in colour through this yarn that only the Ombré range can provide.

A beautiful Shawl from the Ombré Lace Collection

Having created my new collection using this eco friendly yarn, I can guarantee that it’s of very good quality, and so are the makes from it. You can choose from lace patterned baby socks, yoga socks, shawls and necklaces. What you will get is one of a kind make that can’t be replicated due to the nature of the yarn. Each one is truly unique.

So, what are you waiting for? The colours perfectly match the autumn season and will compliment your outfit whether you’re practicing yoga or kicking the leaves around the park with your loved ones. Click on the link below to shop for a beautiful, handmade item, that will be cherished forever.
